What is Linkbit?
Linkbit is a compact programmable electronic badge built around the ESP32-C3 and a 2.13-inch 122 x 250 e-paper display. It is designed for custom name badges, QR-code IDs, conference badges, electronic business cards, schedules, labels, classroom projects, and low-power connected displays.
E-paper keeps the last image visible without a backlight or continuous display power, so information remains clear while the badge is idle. Linkbit is reprogrammable hardware: you choose the content, wireless behavior, and button actions in your own project.
Key features
ESP32-C3 microcontroller with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth LE
2.13-inch portrait e-paper display, 122 x 250 pixels
Three programmable buttons for menus, page switching, and interaction
USB-C for programming, charging, and power
4-pin 3.3 V I2C expansion header for sensors and modules
Onboard programmable WS2812 RGB status LED
Support for a single-cell 3.7 V lithium battery and onboard fuel-gauge circuitry
AilyBlockly visual programming support with example projects
Easy to program
AilyBlockly provides a block-based, AI-assisted development workflow for Linkbit. Start from an example, customize text and images, add button actions or wireless updates, then compile and upload over USB-C. The 3.3 V I2C connector also makes it easy to add compatible sensors and low-speed modules from the maker ecosystem.

Why did we make it?
We wanted a reusable e-paper badge that is easy to personalize without starting from a bare display module. AilyBlockly makes the first project approachable for beginners and education, while the ESP32-C3, buttons, I2C expansion, and exposed board features leave plenty of room for advanced maker projects.
