Description
Turn a motor into straight-line motion
The parts for one small linear axis, as used in 3D printers, CNC engravers, camera sliders and plotters. A stepper motor turns the T8 lead screw and the brass nut travels 8 mm per turn, carrying whatever is fixed to it. The carriage runs on smooth rods through the SC8UU slide blocks or the flange linear bearings, so the screw only pushes and never has to carry the load.

Join the screw to a NEMA 17 stepper (5 mm shaft) with a 5–8 mm flexible coupler, such as the one in our Coupler & Universal Joint Pack, and support the far end in a bearing.

Each contains a ball-bearing linear bushing that slides freely along a hardened smooth rod: screw the box blocks or the flanges to a carriage plate, two per rod.
Good to know
- Smooth rods, the motor, the coupler and screws are not included. Use hardened 8 mm or 6 mm smooth rods; ordinary steel rod wears quickly.
- The 300 mm screw arrives in a long box. For other screw lengths (100 to 1000 mm), ask us for a quote.
- Sizes and weights are the supplier's measurements and can differ slightly.
- About 0.46 kg packed, so there is no weight surcharge on this pack.
- Contains small parts. Not a toy; keep away from young children.

Standard shipping: $9.00 for the first item, +$1.80 for each additional item. Free shipping on orders over $260.
We ship worldwide, by default with economical international post (UPU / China Post small packet) to keep shipping costs low. Orders are usually handed to the carrier within 2–5 business days, and economical international post then takes about 10–30 business days to arrive; these are estimates, not guarantees. Delivery time depends on the destination and on postal and customs handling. If you need your order by a certain date, email us before ordering: faster shipping can be arranged, with the extra cost charged at the carrier's actual rate.
