Description
Push rods, shaft supports and bearings for small machines
Three kinds of metal motion parts that are hard to print well. Adjustable ball-end linkages carry a servo horn's movement to a lever, steering arm or flap. Aluminium shaft support blocks hold an 8 or 10 mm shaft or rod firmly upright on a base plate. Miniature ball bearings let 2 mm axles spin freely in wheels, gears and printed frames.

Each linkage is a threaded stainless-steel turnbuckle with an anodised aluminium ball end at each side and lock nuts. Turn the middle to set the length, then lock the nuts. The ball ends have 3 mm holes for an M3 screw to a servo horn or lever. The colour is usually sky blue.

A vertical block with a slotted bore that clamps a shaft, rod or the outside of a bearing with a side screw (use an M4 × 10 screw, not included). Two holes in the base screw it to a plate or frame.

Shielded steel bearings for 2 mm axles, such as the 2 mm shafts in our Micro Shaft & Coupler Pack. Press them into a printed or drilled 5 mm hole. If a shaft is a tight fit, polish it lightly with fine sandpaper rather than forcing it in.
