Build a robot that walks on the wind
This kit turns a large fan, a gear train and a crankshaft into a two-legged walking machine. Point a desk fan or a steady breeze at the blades and the robot strides forward; switch on its small battery motor to make it walk without wind. Every gear and linkage stays visible, so kids can follow the energy from the spinning fan all the way to the moving feet.

What you'll do
- Assemble the legs, frame and linkages from the parts frames
- Fit the gears, crankshaft and fan
- Connect the motor and battery box
- Test it in front of a fan, then switch to the motor and compare
Good to know
- A household desk fan makes a good wind source.
- Batteries for the motor are not included.
- Keep fingers and hair away from the fan and gears while it runs. Contains small parts; recommended for ages 8 and up, with adult guidance.
