Turn wind into electricity
This kit builds a tabletop wind turbine about 47 cm tall. Kids assemble the base, tower, nacelle, three blades and the tail vane, then fit the small generator and wire it to the LED and the meter in the base. Put it in front of a desk fan or take it outside on a windy day: the blades turn, the LED on top lights up and the meter needle moves as current flows.

What you'll do
- Assemble the base with its meter window and the tower
- Build the nacelle around the generator and fit the blades and tail vane
- Wire the generator to the LED and the meter
- Test it with a fan at different distances and speeds and watch the meter
