See how a motor turns electricity into motion
This kit builds an open-frame DC motor on a black base, so every part stays visible. Kids fit the magnets, mount the rotor with its three copper coils, set up the brushes and wire the green circuit board. Switch on and the coils are pushed round by the magnetic field, spinning the fan on the shaft. The terminals on the board can also be connected to the Hand-Crank Generator Kit, so the motor runs on power you make by hand.
